Words can not express how amazing today is... President Obama has given the world so much hope and inspiration. Today IS history & I'm so happy that Khiya was able to watch the Inauguration in class!!! :]

Khiya's Mall Scavenger Hunt Birthday Party...

Whew... I'm glad that's over. :] Let's just say it was a pain to plan but overall it was FABULOUS!!! The party was a hit & all the girls had an amazing time.

So...I planned a Mall Scavenger Hunt for Khiya's Birthday Party. They were separated into 3 groups of 4. First, each group had to go find 20 items on the "Free" Scavenger Hunt list which had items like a packet of Ketchup, an application, a mall gift card envelope, etc. The list also had questions they could answer about Khiya instead of having to find an item.


Once they had their 20, they had to come back to me to get their riddle envelopes... The envelopes had riddles (Thank you Robbin the MASTER Riddle Maker) inside that they had to figure out in order to find the store to go to and the item to get. So at each store, the girls received a party favor... Claire's, they got earrings. Wet Seal they got a shirt. Etc. Etc. :]

The final riddle was for each team to get their pictures taken in the photo booth. :]



Before the girls left, I had them each guess how many pieces of candy were in each container... The right guesser got the candy...

I originally told the teams - first team back wins a prize - but I was fibbin'. I got enough prizes for all the girls to pick two each. I figured that way there wasn't a losing team... :]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHIYA!!!!

My BABY is 12 years old today... I'm sad, happy, excited & freaked out all in one! It truly seems like just the other day she was born. I still remember the pain. :]

Khiya has become an AMAZING little tall girl! I am truly BLESSED to have her!

Of course she wanted to open her presents the SECOND she woke up... :)

New Year's Eve!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We had a fabulous EVE... We hung out with the Eckert's @ Pier Park. Did some eating... Some walking... Went to a House Party & was home @ 11:50 pm. :)

First we had dinner @ Margaritaville. It was yum but kind of expensive... Surely not YUM enough to go back... But we had fun. Especially when the plane get's bombed & drops the long lost salt shaker & disco ball. :) You'll have to see it for yourself.

After dinner we walked around Pier Park... Got some candy candy candy! My FAVORITE is the HUGE $3 Reese Cup! Holy Cow it was FABULOUS!!!

So, $30 bucks for Dinner + $8 bucks on Candy and the highlight of the night was the HILL. FREE Entertainment!!! The kids had a BLAST rolling down the hill. Whowouldathunkit?!?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I've sucked in the 'Blogging' Department because life has been BIZ-EEEEEE!!! I also forgot my password and was blocked for a while... They finally let me back in. :)

So here we are... The blog title use to be 'Mother of One' but that sounds so Blah so I decided to liven it up. TWO FABULOUS COOKIES it is!!! Since Khiya & I are both FABULOUS & since we LOVE to make cookies... I thought... What a peeerfect title! Love it!

My friend Jenniffer is also a blogger so she's given me the itch... HA! Not literally! Robbin has also started her blogging life so this should get interesting. :)

Christmas Day was fun... We opened presents from Santa, made some breakfast, played for a few, then got ready to meet up with The Eckert's, Shone & the twins. What better day to go watch a fabulous movie than on Christmas Day?!?! :) So, we went to see Bedtime Stories which was FABULOUS!!!

We planned on making Cornish Hens (Khiya wanted them for Christmas Dinner) & all the fixin's but we didn't get back in time to start all the food. We were also invited to eat at a friend's house but it was too late for that also so... We opted for SONIC!!! HA! That's right, we went to Sonic for Christmas Din Din & apparently we weren't the only ones with that idea - they were SUPER busy!!! Don't worry, we had Christmas Dinner after all but it was on Saturday. :)

Then it was home to PASS OUT!!!! I was exhausted & soooooo happy it was all over with... All the anxiety to get everything ready...all the cookies, Christmas Parties, presents for everyone, wrapping all the presents, making sure Santa has everything SHE needs for Christmas Morning, etc., etc..... Whew!!! Santa was pooped!

We ♥ Dairy Queen...

We FINALLY got a Dairy Queen...Again. We had one wayyyyy back when I was a kid but they shut it down wayyyyy back then. :] This one is much nicer!

Zoo Boo '07

We went to Zoo World for their annual Zoo Boo thingy with some friends... It was fun! Khiya got to see her favorite animal eveeeeer - the giraffe - so she was veeery happy.

Someone told her she should be in the costume contest so we had to run over to that area to register her. Turns out, she won 2nd place in the contest Whoop! Whoop! :] And the best part... She came up with her costume all on her own! She's so fabulous!!!! I just helped with the make-up & cobwebs... :]
